Job summary

The Addison of Lowrie Place is seeking a kitchen team member to prepare meals using daily planners and standard recipes. You will work the food line during mealtimes and ensure all dishes meet safety guidelines while maintaining sanitation in kitchen areas.

You will respond promptly to resident and guest needs, keeping a positive and professional demeanor toward everyone. Basic computer skills (Excel/Word) and English communication are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in production cooking and/or preparing therapeutic diets is preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
• Willingness to obtain required food handling and sanitation licenses.
• Basic computer skills; entry level proficiency with Excel and Word is required.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all food using the daily planner and standard recipes.
• Work the food line during mealtimes.
• Ensure food meets safety guidelines and that kitchen areas meet sanitation standards.
• Respond quickly to resident and guest needs and requests.
