Job summary

Rose Valley Management is seeking an Assistant Community Manager for its 252-unit Tomball, TX community. You will support the Community Manager in operations, enforcing policies and ensuring a well-maintained property.

You will assist with leases, vendor invoices, rent collection, reports, and marketing to achieve budgeted occupancy, while upholding Fair Housing laws and delivering excellent resident service.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A current and valid Driver’s License.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the field of property management or leasing.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with prospects, co-workers, residents, vendors and corporate staff.
  • Knowledgeable regarding federal, state and local laws including Fair Housing.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook; AppFolio experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, processes and signs leases and rules.
  • Assists the CommunityManager with vendor invoices and accounts payable.
  • Rent collection, receipting, prepares deposits using our propertymanagement software.
  • Writes letters and prepares legal notices to residents.
  • Submits required reports and maintains records according to policies.
  • Provides documentation, consults with attorney, and participates in required legal proceedings such as eviction proceedings.
  • Assists Community Manager in preparation of weekly owner’s reports.
  • Assists with marketing and implementing marketing plans to achieve budgeted occupancy.
  • Excellent problem solving, listening, and deductive reasoning skills.
  • Ability to empathize with residents, while still enforcing community rules and policies.
  • Knowledgeable regarding property management, federal, state, and local laws.
  • Demonstrates ability to work effectively with common Microsoft software applications and property management software.
  • Full knowledge and responsibilities of the community; operates the property and residents within Fair Housing guidelines.
