Job Overview

The Sycamore of River Falls is a growing, full‑service senior living community with 84 apartments, including 68 blended independent and assisted living, and 16 memory care apartments in a secured neighborhood on the first floor. The property features four villa‑patio twin‑home units with two‑ and three‑bedroom options for active, independent seniors, as well as a variety of studios, one‑bedroom, one‑bedroom plus den, and two‑bedroom units. The underground parking garage has 50 stalls, maintenance rooms, and a residents’ storage area. Managed by Ebenezer, this newer care facility is located in River Falls, WI.

This position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health‑related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents’ physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Personnel assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating life‑enrichment and Dimensions programming, which optimizes resident physical, psychosocial, spiritual, and cognitive well‑being. They are also responsible for dining‑room and to‑go meal service, ensuring a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care, including bathing/showering, foot and fingernail care, shaving, dressing, assistance with hearing aids and/or glasses, hair care, feeding, toileting, escorts, and 1‑2 person transfers using a mechanical lift.
• Provide health‑related services as directed, including assisting with treatments per individualized care plans, blood glucose monitoring, administering medication or assisting under the direction of the Registered Nurse, and monitoring vital signs.
• Assist with life‑enrichment programs and activities: lead social events, activity programs, and wellness programming; document as required; provide suggestions to the Executive Director – Resident Experience and Operations; plan and execute 1:1 and small‑group informal activities.
• Encourage and embrace use of the Dimensions program: attend trainings, apply best practices, collaborate with the team to maximize contributions from Cognitive Performance Tests, My Way, Advance Care Planning, and the Global Deterioration Scale; enhance the Dimensions environment; propose innovative ideas to the Executive Director.
• Serve meals and maintain the dining area: follow meal‑serving schedule and procedures; offer resident meal choices; uphold safety and sanitation techniques; maintain cleaning schedule; learn the EMenu system and restaurant‑style service; ensure dishes are washed, sanitized, and stored; accommodate resident requests; assist with meal prep and delivery.
• Clean resident and common areas: perform thorough cleaning, vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, sanitize bathrooms, clean windows/mirrors; safely mix chemicals per manufacturer instructions; adhere to cleaning schedules; secure chemicals; restock supplies; submit work orders in TELS; assist with light maintenance tasks.
