Description

About Sierra Winds

Sierra Winds is a senior living community built on a culture of hospitality. We greet everyone warmly, anticipate needs before they're spoken, and hold ourselves to a high standard of care in everything we do — and we're looking for a Resident Experience Manager who shares that same commitment.

About the Role

The Resident Experience Manager is the heart of the resident journey at Sierra Winds — creating a warm, positive, and well-supported experience from the moment someone considers making our community their home, through move-in, daily life, and beyond. This role owns the resident transition process and partners closely with residents and families to make every step feel personal and cared for. The Resident Experience Manager also oversees the Front Desk/Reception team and supervises resident transportation services, ensuring these first-impression touchpoints reflect the same standard of hospitality our residents count on every day.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome new residents with warm, attentive service from their first questions through move-in day and beyond
  • Coordinate move-in logistics — scheduling, documentation, design selections, furniture placement, and unit turns — so every arrival is smooth and stress-free
  • Check in with new residents at key milestones (30/60/90 days) to make sure they're settling in and feel a genuine sense of belonging
  • Work through resident questions or concerns with patience and follow-through, keeping everyone informed along the way
  • Support move-outs with care, including apartment inspections, documentation, and coordination with maintenance and accounting
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to stay connected to community updates and support a positive resident experience at every turn
  • Supervise the Lead Receptionist and Front Desk team, ensuring consistent, hospitable service and reliable coverage
  • Oversee resident transportation services and drivers, ensuring scheduling and service delivery are timely, safe, and courteous
  • Serve as a visible, approachable point of contact for resident feedback across the community
What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in hospitality, apartment management, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in property management, customer service, or retirement living strongly preferred
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through to resolution
  • A warm, positive, encouraging communication style — you genuinely enjoy making people feel welcome
  • Comfort managing several functional areas at once, with sound independent judgment
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent standing, walking, and assisting residents (up to 150 lbs. with mobility equipment)
Why Sierra Winds

This is a role for someone who finds real satisfaction in making people feel at home — someone organized enough to keep the details straight and warm enough to make every resident feel like they matter, because they do.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in property management, customer service, retirement living, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Two years of experience with move-in/move-out processes within the retirement living industry is preferred.
  • Prior experience supervising or leading a team is strongly preferred.
  • Must have good English language skills and the ability to communicate well both in writing and orally.
  • Must possess the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines across several functional areas (resident experience, front desk, and transportation), including supervision of staff and drivers.
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
  • Must maintain a positive, encouraging demeanor and create a warm, welcoming experience when working with residents, families, and staff.
  • Must be highly organized with strong follow-up skills to ensure tasks and resident needs are seen through to resolution.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Duties require frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, and squatting.
  • Must be able to transport residents via wheelchair, pushing up to 150 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to transfer, lift, turn, and position a resident weighing up to 125 lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one other person for a resident weighing over 125 lbs.
  • Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, squat, stand, and walk for up to 90% of the workday.
  • May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior.
  • Must be able to push a cart up to 40 lbs. unassisted.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.
