WSP is seeking a Resident Engineer for Seattle or Tacoma to lead construction management on transportation, municipal, utility, and public infrastructure projects throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest. The successful candidate will act as the Owner's primary field representative, overseeing contract administration, documentation, and coordination with inspectors.
A Civil Engineering or Construction Management background with 10+ years of experience is required; PE preferred and travel
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Resident Engineer for our Seattle or Tacoma office, to support transportation, municipal, utility, and public infrastructure projects throughout Washington and the Pacific Northwest. This position serves as the primary field representative for the Owner and is responsible for construction administration, contract compliance, project documentation, contractor coordination, schedule monitoring, quality management, and oversight of inspection staff.
The successful candidate will lead construction management teams on complex public works projects, coordinate with owners, designers, contractors, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with contract requirements.
These responsibilities are consistent with internal Resident Engineer position descriptions, which emphasize construction administration, contractor coordination, RFI/submittal review, documentation, schedule monitoring, contract modification recommendations, and supervision of field staff.

Expected Salary (all locations): $174,400 - $213,200
