Job summary

O'Connor Woods is seeking a Wait Staff member to provide dining services for residents and staff while ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met. The role requires teamwork, reliability, and adherence to dietary guidelines within a regulated facility.

Shifts may include evenings, weekends and holidays; prior dining services experience and a valid food handler certificate are highly valued. Final candidates undergo post-offer background testing and health screens as part of pre-employment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year experience in dining services wait staff preferred.
• Food handler certification required (active).
• Must have neat appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Ability to understand therapeutic diets and apply to written menu.
• Ability to prepare menu items for wait staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer/resident service at all times.
• Provide dining service for all residents and staff.
• Assure assigned areas are maintained within regulatory compliance for sanitation and safety.
• Work as an effective and supportive team member.
• Support catered events including preparation, serving and clean up.
• Maintain a safe, sanitary work area for all residents and staff.
