Job summary

Penn Highlands Healthcare in Monongahela, PA is seeking a dietary aide to assist in dining room service. You will prepare the dining room, set tables, fold napkins, refill condiments, and help residents with meal service in a courteous, professional manner.

Knowledge of dietary restrictions, accurate order taking, and maintaining cleanliness are essential. Prior food service or dishwashing experience is helpful, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper table setting and serving standards.
• Knows residents dietary restrictions and diets and helps residents follow said diet.
• Knows the menu options and takes accurate orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dining room for meals by setting tables, folding napkins, providing & refilling condiments, running the sweeper or mopping floors, and keeping pedestals clean.
• Provide beverage service and serve meals in a courteous and professional manner, using the direct bussing system.
• Takes accurate orders and communicates dietary options to residents.
