Job summary

Dartmouth Health in Lebanon, NH is seeking a Dining Room Attendant to create an enjoyable dining experience for residents and their guests. The role supports meal preparation, presentation, and service in adherence to sanitation guidelines, under the direction of the Dining Room Manager.

You will help prep buffet tables, assist during meals, monitor the dining room, and maintain a safe, respectful environment for older adults; 10:30am-7pm, full-time, on site.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, oral and written.
• Comfort with business math concepts.
• Team player with flexibility and patience.
• Sensitivity to and interest in older adults.
• Able to cope with emotional and physical stress.
• Knowledge of dining room service, sanitation and food handling.
• Experience with special functions/healthcare ops helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare buffet tables to support menu with proper sanitation.
• Prepare salads or breakfast items to support meals.
• Monitor dining room to assist residents as needed.
• Ensure dining room runs efficiently; report issues.
• Follow service style and safety rules.
• Maintain clean, safe environment for residents and staff.
• Maintain relations with residents and other staff.
• Assist with table top and menu needs.
• Follow weekly/monthly activities calendar.
• Adhere to appearance and performance standards.
• Know fire safety procedures and assist evacuations.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information.
• Cooperate with other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
