Job summary

Discovery Village at the West End is seeking a Server to create a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents and guests. Your hospitality and service mindset help ensure mealtimes are enjoyable and aligned with our community standards.

You will take meal and beverage orders, serve meals, maintain cleanliness, and support opening/closing duties. Previous dining or hospitality experience and the ability to interact professionally with residents are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with residents, guests, and team members.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Demonstrates good judgment, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food in a friendly, professional, and timely manner.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with their meals and dining experience.
• Maintain knowledge of daily specials, menus, and food items to assist residents with selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables, side stations, and surrounding areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including completing assigned checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers as needed.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, and hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization, flow, and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
