Job summary

Rockport Healthcare Services in Los Angeles, CA seeks a Nutrition Services Supervisor responsible for preparing nutritious meals and supplements for residents in accordance with federal, state, and corporate guidelines, and for maintaining accurate records of dietary requirements and meal deliveries.

Responsibilities include supervising staff in the director's absence, attending meetings and in-services, and ensuring safe, sanitary handling of food, equipment and storage in daily operations.

Qualifications

• Essential verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Basic understanding of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
• Prior food service and/or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and supplements for residents according to Federal, State and Corporate requirements.
• Perform duties in a safe and sanitary manner.
• Supervise staff in the absence of the Director of Nutritional Services.
• Attend meetings and in-services as required.
• Present a professional image to consumers and adhere to company standards for resolving consumer concerns.
• Ensure all patient/resident rights are protected.
