Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc is hiring a Diet ary Aide in Temple, TX to assist with food preparation and serve meals to residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow dietary guidelines and portion sizes while delivering friendly, respectful service.

This role requires a high school diploma and willingness to obtain ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state law. Applicants should be able to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants and staff.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, pushing/pulling up to 50 pounds, and standing for extended periods.
• Must perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required where required by state law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
