Job summary

Homestead Post Acute is seeking a dedicated housekeeping assistant to maintain cleanliness in all public and resident areas in a long-term care environment. You will clean lobby, restrooms, resident rooms, and staff spaces, ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities include waste removal, floor care, and reporting supply needs to supervisors. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and proven reliability, with preference for prior LTC experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in a long-term care facility preferred.
• Fluent in English and able to read and understand procedures and directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all public and common areas including lobby, restrooms, drinking fountains and floors.
• Maintain the cleanliness of resident rooms and bathrooms.
• Keep handrails, walls, mirrors, windows, light fixtures clean and free of debris.
• Empty trash cans and replace liners; sweep and mop floors.
• Notify supervisors regarding resident safety issues or supply needs.
• Adhere to safety procedures, including use of caution signage and safe handling of supplies.
