Job summary

AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family. The role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all residents, guests, and employees, while ensuring adherence to State Department of Health Rules and facility standards.

Responsibilities include using diverse cooking equipment, preparing modified diets, adjusting recipes for portions, and supervising meal service when needed. Walk-ins are welcome daily, with competitive benefits and supportive corporate backing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
