Job summary

Libertana is seeking a Resident Tech to provide personal care and related services to clients in Public Subsidized Housing Facilities. The role supports activities of daily living, meal assistance, hygiene, and safety monitoring.

The position requires current CPR and First Aid, a satisfactory pre-employment physical, and the ability to follow care plans and physician orders. Basic computer skills and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification and Basic First Aid required.
• Pre-employment physical including TB screening or chest X-ray as per policy.
• Ability to perform personal care services to clients as directed.
• Mobility and ability to lift as required by job duties.
• Effective communication, reading/writing, basic math, and following service plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, hair care, skin care, oral care).
• Assist with transfers in and out of bed and ambulation.
• Help with meal preparation and therapeutic diets; assist with eating.
• Assist with toileting and use of commodes, bedpans or urinals.
• Assist with medications self-administered by client.
• Record vital signs and other care notes; report changes to supervisor.
• Monitor client condition, intake, and functional status; document changes.
• Perform light housekeeping and disposal of infectious materials as needed.
• Attend required in-service trainings and departmental meetings.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and proper use of equipment.
