Job summary

The State of Oklahoma, Norman Veterans Home, is seeking a PRN Courtesy Tech/Resident Care. This part-time, temporary position offers $13.56 per hour and up to 28 hours per week.

Primary duties include assisting direct care staff with residents and performing non-direct care tasks to support resident care. Responsibilities include companionship, dining assistance, transport within the facility, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English language to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to record observations and activities, follow oral and written directions, and maintain effective working relationships.

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and calming presence to residents.
• Assist residents in dining room (carrying trays, clothing protector, refills).
• Assist in dining activities on unit (passing out trays, clothing protector, cleaning tables).
• Transport residents to and from activities inside the facility.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Order, receive and store supplies and perform basic clerical functions.
