Job summary

Blue Skies of Texas Senior Living Community in San Antonio is seeking a dedicated Resident Associate to support residents who are functionally, physically, or socially impaired and require 24-hour oversight. You will help with ADLs while promoting independence and choice.

You will assist with mobility, daily living activities, meals, medication administration under supervision, safety checks, and participate in resident-centered activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proof of Texas Food Handlers Program or completion within 60 days of hire.
• CPR, AED and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Prior experience working with seniors is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) including mobility, dressing, bathing, hygiene and grooming.
• Assist with Instrumental ADL such as housekeeping, laundry, and transportation coordination.
• Assist with medication administration under supervision and monitor supplies.
• Support residents with toileting, incontinence, Foley catheter care and Ostomy care as needed.
• Observe changes in residents, report to licensed nurse or supervisor promptly.
• Conduct rounds, monitor safety hazards, and document incidents.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Texas Food Handler Certification

CPR/First Aid Certification
