Grand River Healthcare in Chillicothe, MO is seeking a Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care. You will direct care plans, coordinate services, supervise staff, and document incidents to maintain safety and dignity for residents.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and RN or LPN license, with at least one year of long-term care supervisory experience preferred. Join a dedicated team focused on quality and compassion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN/LPN.
• Minimum one-year experience in long-term care – supervisory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan, including safety devices, positioning and toileting plans, infection control measures.
• Assist in coordinating and supervising all services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for the residents.
• Regular rounding on nursing units.
• Assure that staff treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Assure staff follow facility policies and procedures.
• Assist in creating a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life; provide education and support for nurses.
• Monitor incidents, accidents and complaints and document correctly; assist in root cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers or outside vendors as needed to meet resident needs.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation through spot-checks and supervision.
• Respond to and document facility emergencies.
• Ensure continuity of care and discuss staffing issues and problems.
• Facilitate communication between shift staff and unit managers/DON/ADON.
• Assist in ensuring adequate staffing for the nursing department.
• Supervise proper use of equipment and recommend supplies to DON.
• Assist in direct resident care when needed.
• Prepare and administer performance reviews for shift staff with managers.
