Job summary

Landis Communities in New Holland, PA is seeking a Housekeeping Assistant for a full-time Day shift. You will clean resident rooms, common areas, and offices, vacuum, dust, mop floors, wash windows, collect trash, and report repairs to Facilities.

The role requires English communication, patience and tact with residents and families, independence to complete shift tasks, and the ability to document daily checklists.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and speak English clearly.
• Ability to interact patiently and tactfully with residents, family members and staff.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to accurately convey information about a resident’s condition.
• Willingness to learn and incorporate new methods into practice.
• Ability to complete shift tasks and document on daily checklists.

Responsibilities

• Provide cleaning services including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping and mopping floors, washing windows and other duties as assigned.
• Clean Resident Bedrooms and bathrooms as assigned.
• Clean common areas and offices as assigned.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Report repairs or concerns to the Director of Facilities.
• Complete tasks according to QA checklists and document.
• Read the communication log prior to each shift and communicate with Housekeeping as needed.
• Be familiar with WMH policies and procedures and participate on the Safety Committee.
