Position Summary

The Resident Care Attendant provides assistance to residents with daily activities, enabling them to lead quality lives with dignity. Reports to the Health & Wellness Director.

Essential Functions

• Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living
• Follow resident needs schedule set by supervisor
• Provide emotional and social support
• Document assistance in daily logs
• Inform supervisor of resident issues
• Respect and promote residents’ independence and dignity
• Maintain confidentiality
• Familiar with emergency procedures and equipment
• Attend required training and meetings
• Maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain professionalism with residents, visitors, families, and staff
• Adhere to all policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent
• May require CNA or CHHA licensure
