Job summary

Viva Senior Living is seeking a Resident Care Associate to provide direct care to residents and support continuity of care. You will report changes in residents' conditions to the Resident Care Director and participate in routine activities of daily living, while maintaining compassion and dignity for residents and families.

The role requires teamwork, adherence to facility policies, and a strong commitment to resident rights and quality care in a compassionate, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to work well with peers and uphold the Resident Bill of Rights.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to residents and communicate changes to the Resident Care Director.
• Assist residents with lifts, moves, and transports using proper body mechanics or devices.

Job description

The essential functions of the job for the Re sident Care Associate requires , and may be amended from time to time at the sole discretion of Viva Senior Living to include, but are not limited to the following:

Comply with standards of business conduct in accordance with federal, state, and local health and regulatory standards and guidelines, as applicable.

Must possess , at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED

Must be able to work well with peers in a congenial work environment, and above all, maintain the utmost compassion and dignity to the residents and adhere to the Resident Bill of Rights.

In exigent circumstances, the employee may be subject to call back during emergency conditions (e.g., severe weather,

evacuation, temporary staffing shortages, etc.).

Must adhere to Viva Senior Living’s attendance policies and follow the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the Employee Handbook.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must maintain the highest standards in caring and servicing the needs of the residents and residents' family members and loves ones.

Must adhere to all facility policies and procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide direct care to residents and contribute to continuity of care and effective communication by reporting care provided and changes in the resident's condition to the Resident Care Director immediately . May participate in routine activities of resident’s care activities, including daily living.

Assisting residents with lifts, moves, and transports , using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accident prevention.
