Job summary

Arcadia Care in Kentucky is seeking a Resident Assistant to provide nursing and personal care under the supervision of the Wellness Director, safeguarding residents' health and safety in accordance with policies.

The role includes assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, recording changes, maintaining clean living areas, and following service plans; CPR certification required or obtained prior to working.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be free from communicable diseases/Tuberculosis.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain prior to working independently in the facility.
• Must demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Must demonstrate the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
• Must demonstrate the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.
• Must maintain care and use of supplies, equipment, and ensure sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of duties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out resident/tenant care assignments including bathing, dressing, grooming, and restorative nursing procedures.
• Report and record changes in resident conditions and needs.
• Be responsible for the well-being and nursing care of all residents on duty.
• Keep living areas clean and tidy.
• Ensure work areas are clean and safe and equipment properly stored.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information and respect rights.
• Follow service plans and facility policies; perform duties as assigned.
