Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Assistant Living Resident Assistants. You will help residents with activities of daily living and work in a beautiful, active campus setting that emphasizes a family-like atmosphere.

Join a community dedicated to person-centered care, partnering with nurses and the care team to provide high-quality support, safety, and meaningful life experiences for residents across our Michigan location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• First Aid Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with meals, bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility as needed.
• Support and communicate with nursing staff and care team to ensure quality resident care.
• Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to supervisor.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive living environment.

We’re looking for compassionate individuals to join our team of Assistant Living Resident Assistants. You’ll help our residents with Activities of Daily Living and work at our community, a beautiful and active campus setting with a family-like atmosphere. You and your team will work together to set schedules and provide the best life experiences for residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide encouragement and high-quality care in a cheerful, timely manner
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living, including oral care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing in a caring and supportive manner as needed per resident
• Provide supervision, cueing or other non-weight-bearing assistance related to transfer ambulation as needed per resident
• Roll carts, laundry hampers and other equipment safely through work and resident areas
• Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with resident needs and team structure
• Work as a team under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge
• Quickly respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma/GED preferred
• Certification: First Aid Course
