Job summary

Encore Village of Schaumburg is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant to support residents in our Assisted Living Department on every other weekend with morning, evening and overnight shifts. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents’ wellbeing and help them reach their highest level of independence in a safe, respectful setting.

Previous caregiving experience preferred; compassion, reliability and clear communication with residents and care teams are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provides minimal to moderate assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting.
• Provides assistance with instrumental activities of daily living such as bed making and laundry.
• Provides minimal assistance with incontinence care.
• Performs safety checks.
• Recognizes and responds to changes in residents' behavior, cognitive and physical functioning and level of participation and interaction with others.
• Communicates both verbal and written information objectively and timely to management team.
• Documents clearly and legibly in residents' records.
• Other duties as assigned.
