Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to assist residents with daily living activities, provide compassionate care, and support in activities and meal times. This on-site role requires adherence to policies, confidentiality, and teamwork within the nursing staff.

You will perform light housekeeping, assist with move-ins, and respond to alarms or calls for assistance.

Qualifications

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must have completed approved personal care aide program per state regulations as applicable.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in-writing.
  • Must be organized and able to work well with all levels of personnel.
  • Must be a contributing member of nursing team and follow instruction of supervisor.
  • Must be polite and considerate of residents, visitors, and co-workers at all times.
  • Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, and push or carry 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to safely lift and transfer residents while maintaining proper body mechanics.
  • Must be in designated uniform during working hours, to include name badge.
  • Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or be willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be able to represent the community in a positive and professional manner.
  • Must attend and complete all required in-services and staff meetings.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living.
  • Perform housekeeping duties such as making beds and cleaning resident rooms and common areas.
  • Respond promptly to resident calls for assistance or emergency alerts.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status and upcoming information.
  • Assist new residents with move-in transitions and provide emotional support.
  • Follow confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
  • Assist in activity planning and participation for residents.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
