Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities, LLC in Burr Ridge, IL seeks a full-time caregiver to support residents in daily living and mobility. You will assist with grooming, bathing, transportation within the community, and responding to calls, following care plans.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR certification preferred. Prior experience with the elderly is a plus; the schedule is 2-10pm with every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with assistance in activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, maintaining personal environment).

• Respond to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards promptly and safely.
• Review resident care plans and obtain vital signs.

Job Description

Schedule: Full-Time. 2-10pm and every other weekend.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner
• Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans, as well as obtaining vital signs

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
