Job summary

Terrace at Beverwyck, part of St. Peter's Health Partners, is seeking a Per Diem Resident Assistant to provide compassionate, resident-centered care in a residential assisted living setting.

8-hour shifts; duties include daily living activities and medication assistance; prior elder care experience a plus. You will engage residents to promote independence, maintain a safe environment, assist with meals, laundry, and light documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED preferred; sincere desire to work with elderly population.
• Experience with cognitively impaired residents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Engage with residents to live full, active lives.
• Promoting Resident independence.
• Patiently participate with residents and assist as necessary with activities of daily living and medication management.
• Provide a safe and supportive environment that serves individuals who do not meet the skilled-nursing criteria of a nursing home placement.
• Laundry and Resident shower assistance.
• Setting up dining room for breakfast service.
• Minimal shift documentation.
• Communicating observations in daily shift report.

The resident assistant is integral to care delivery at our unique assisted living facility. As a direct care staff, become a part of a team and engage individuals in our quaint, residential setting. Experience working with the elderly is a plus! Position Highlights: 8 hour shifts in a low stress environment. Shift meal provided to staff. Overnight & weekend shift differential. Pay Range: : $16.70 - $20.36 per hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
