Job summary

Jaybird Senior Living in Wisconsin is seeking a compassionate Resident Assistant to provide personal care and support per individualized care plans. You will work under the supervision of the Healthcare Coordinator and assist with daily living activities.

Certification as a Nurse’s Aide is preferred but not required; CPR certification within 90 days is expected. This role emphasizes teamwork, HIPAA confidentiality, and engagement in activities to enhance residents' quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six months caregiving experience, preferably with elderly residents.
• Completion of required medication management course.
• CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Professionalism and ability to handle emotionally charged situations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs and report deviations.
• Assist residents with personal care and daily living activities.
• Follow individualized service plans and ISP updates.
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols.
• Document resident progress in a timely manner.
• Encourage resident engagement in activities.
• Uphold HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to policies.
• Attend biweekly in-service meetings and trainings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
