The role emphasizes compassionate caregiving, prompt response to resident needs, and collaboration with dining and activity staff within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, eating, transferring and mobility.
• Engages residents in meaningful conversation, socialization and activities while providing personal care.
• Responds promptly to resident needs and requests for care and provides or arranges assistance as needed.
• Assists in the dining room during meal times.
• Encourages participation in scheduled activities and outings and assists with those activities.
• Assists with cleaning and tidying resident rooms and common areas and with resident laundry.
