Job summary

Spectrum Retirement Communities is seeking a compassionate part-time caregiver for night shifts (10pm-6am) with every-other-weekend scheduling. The role focuses on assisting residents with activities of daily living and ensuring safety and comfort in a skilled nursing environment.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, meet state requirements, and preferably hold CPR certification, with experience in elderly care and a calm, respectful demeanor to support resident well-being.

• Must meet all state educational requirements for the position.
• CPR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, environment).
• Transport residents within the community to activities, elsewhere, or dining.
• Respond to emergencies, requests, and environmental hazards promptly and safely.
• Review care plans and obtain vital signs per instructions.

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner
• Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans, as well as obtaining vital signs

Qualifications

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
