Spectrum Retirement Communities is hiring a Resident Assistant for overnight shifts at our Palos Heights, IL community. The role focuses on assisting residents with daily living activities, transporting them within the community, and responding to emergencies with a calm, compassionate approach.

Required is a High School diploma; CPR is preferred, and experience with elderly populations is valued. This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (grooming, bathing, personal environment).
• Transport residents within the community to activities, departments, or dining.
• Respond to emergency calls and resident/visitor requests promptly and safely.
• Review resident care plans and obtain vital signs as needed.

Schedule: Full-Time, Overnight

In this position, your main responsibilities will include:

• Providing residents with assistance in the activities of daily living such as grooming, bathing, and maintaining their personal environment
• Transporting residents within the community to activities, other departments, or dining
• Responding to emergency calls, resident and/or visitor requests, and environmental hazards in a timely, appropriate, and safe manner
• Reviewing and adhering to resident care plans, as well as obtaining vital signs

To be successful in this position, we believe that you need the following experiences, strengths, and skills:

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• All state educational requirements for the position must be met
• CPR certification preferred
• Experience working with an elderly population is preferred
• A calm, helpful, and respectful countenance is appreciated
