Job summary

Otterbein SeniorLife is seeking compassionate Resident Assistants to join our team. This entry-level role offers growth potential and focuses on helping residents with Activities of Daily Living across our communities.

You will work with Partners to provide person-centered care, collaborating with nurses and team members to ensure residents' comfort and safety. Evening/weekend shifts and a starting pay of $13.25/hour are offered, with potential raises based on experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADLs, including teeth care, bathing, toileting, incontinence and dressing with compassion.
• Provide supervision or assistive tasks related to transfer and ambulation as needed.
• Communicate and coordinate with residents and team to address needs.
• Work under the nurse in charge and respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents.

Pay: Starting at $13.25/hr, increases with experience, Shift differential for evening and weekends!

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with ADLs, including teeth care, toileting, bathing, incontinence and dressing in a caring and supportive manner as needed per resident
• Provide supervision, cueing or other non-weight-bearing assistance related to transfer ambulation as needed per resident
• Communicate, coordinate and cooperate with resident needs and team structure
• Work as a team under the supervision and direction of the nurse in charge
• Quickly respond to emergency calls from Independent Living residents as directed by the nurse in charge
• Assist residents with various other daily needs as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certification: No certification required.
