Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care Activities Department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement and evaluate activity programs.
• Observe resident attendance, mood and involvement for progress notes.
• Build rapport with other departments to keep activities running smoothly.
• Prepare activity rooms for scheduled programs and advise on equipment needs.
• Assist in cleaning up activity areas after events.
• Follow the resident care plan when delivering daily activities.
• Purchase department supplies and personal items for residents.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
