Qualifications

• Experience in long term care is required; recreational setting preferred.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and instruct residents appropriately.
• Ability to plan and direct a variety of activities and tailor to residents' needs.
• Ability to motivate residents and promote their well-being through activities.
• Imagination and creativity are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Coordinator in implementing and executing an Activity Program for all residents.
• Lead group activities as assigned; provide one-to-one activities for others.
• Assist in planning through Resident’s Council and Activity Coordinator.
• Maintain attendance sheets and assist residents to activities.
• Communicate resident status to Activity Coordinator; attend care plan meetings if needed.
• Arrange movies, live entertainment, and group outings.
