MercyOne Northeast Iowa is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Family Medicine physician to join as Assistant Program Director for its well-established Family Medicine Residency program. This leadership role involves teaching, mentoring, and supervising residents in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a focus on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine.
• Prefer inpatient clinical experience.
• Strong commitment to resident education and academic excellence.

Responsabilités

• Provide academic leadership by teaching and mentoring residents in inpatient adult medicine and newborn care (OB optional) and outpatient continuity and procedure clinics.
• Oversee resident performance during clinical rotations.
• Lead 1–2 program-wide quality improvement projects annually.
• Deliver 10–12 didactic lectures per year on core Family Medicine topics.
• Serve as faculty advisor to approximately 5 residents.
• Participate in program administration, curriculum development, and faculty meetings.
