Role Overview
Orthopedic Residency Coordinator at the University of Colorado Anschutz – Department of Orthopedics. The Coordinator assists the Program Director and oversees day‑to‑day administration of the ACGME‑accredited Orthopedic residency program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards, coordinating recruitment, orientation, graduation, and ongoing GME requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Program Director Support (10%) – coordinate annual Program Evaluation, Clinical Competency Committee, Program Evaluation Committee, monitor post‑graduate survey results, maintain rotation Letter of Agreement, and update program policies.
- Maintain and Monitor ACGME Requirements (20%) – enter and maintain data in WebADS; manage case logs, milestones, surveys, summative letters and schedule semi‑annual meetings.
- Recruitment (20%) – update AAMC GME‑Track/FREIDA, manage ERAS/Thalamus application setup and downloads, schedule interview days, prepare ranking meetings, handle NRMP notifications, and support fellowship recruitment.
- Orientation (20%) – assemble resident training files, process GME forms, order equipment, plan week‑long orientation, train residents/fellows on MedHub and Epic, schedule immunizations.
- Graduation/Completion (20%) – coordinate graduation events, monitor exit survey completion, submit certificates of completion, collect final evaluations and procedure logs, update alumni database, and process reimbursements.
- Annual GME Requirements (10%) – issue training agreements, submit resident charge sheets, maintain license/Board and NPI information, confirm Medicare/Medicaid enrollment, schedule in‑training exams, and complete CTE survey.
Location & Schedule
Hybrid – 2 days per week on campus as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, business, public administration, health care, educational technology, social science, liberal arts, communications, accounting, finance, library science or a related field.
- Year‑for‑year substitution of education and technical experience for degree where applicable.
- One year of professional experience in an academic setting or high‑level customer service environment.
Preferred
- Two to three years of professional experience in an academic setting or high‑level customer service environment, preferably related to medical education.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Adobe, Teams, and Zoom.
- Previous experience within Graduate Medical Education and familiarity with accrediting bodies.

- Proficient with residency‑specific software (Microsoft 365, ERAS, OnCall, MedHub), and adaptability to new electronic tools.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements at the program level.
- Independent decision‑making and complex problem solving in high‑volume environments.
