ACMH in Manhattan (Hamilton Heights) seeks a Residence Staff for St Hilda's House to provide direct service, assist residents with daily living skills, and support crisis response under the supervision of the Program Director.

The role works Sundays through Thursdays from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, with duties including monitoring residents and guests, conducting safety drills, assisting with medications, meal setup and cleanup, and coordinating activities while maintaining a calm, respectful

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work with residents and guests; take responsibility for duties.
• Willingness to cover shifts at multiple ACMH residential locations as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor entry and egress of residents and guests.
• Assist with crisis intervention and building evacuation as needed.
• Administer safety checks and document fire drills and detectors tests.
• Monitor and document residents’ self-administration of medication.
• Record events and incidents in the Front Desk Log Book.
• Provide meals setup, serving, and cleanup.
• Organize social and recreational activities.
• Light cleaning and inventory of supplies.
• Attend trainings as requested by supervisor.

Function

Provides direct service to clients, assisting with training in skills of daily living.

Reports to

Schedule

Sundays through Thursdays (3:00pm-11:00pm)

Tasks

• Monitors the entry and egress of residents and guests.
• Provides the first line of defense in case of emergencies; (i.e. calling management, the fire department in case of a fire, etc.), assists with crisis intervention and building evacuation.
• Administers self-preservation test, standardized health screening tools, conducts and documents fire drills, conducts and documents smoke/CO detector tests.
• Monitors and documents client self-administration of medication, according to program policy and procedures.
• Conducts building rounds throughout shift.
• Accurately records resident events, incidents, and building walkthrough observations in the Front Desk Log Book.
• Provides coverage at other ACMH residential locations as assigned, based on program needs.
• Maintains a calm, respectful, and professional demeanor when interacting with residents, staff members, and visitors.
• Reports incidents or behavioral changes in residents.
• Reviews and updates daily logs.
• Assists residents in performing adult skills of daily living.
• Monitors overall maintenance of residence and alerts program director of maintenance problems.
• Responsible for meal preparation, setup, serving/distribution, and cleanup.
• Organizes social and recreational activities.
• Light cleaning as needed.
• Inventories supplies and organizes storage areas.
• Audits program records, as assigned.
• Attends training as requested by supervisory staff.
• Duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

High school diploma and the ability to work with people and the ability to take responsibility to carry out the duties of the position. Willingness to cover shifts at multiple ACMH residential locations as needed.

Salary

$43,680 plus generous benefits
