Job summary

SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University seeks a full-time Staff Associate / Director in Residential Life. The role oversees the RLSD, supervising an Assistant Director, Staff Assistants, and Resident Assistants for 200-250 residents and guiding learning and community development.

The Director reports to the Senior Associate Vice President of Finance and leads budget, occupancy, and resident services programs across the residence halls, including the Nurse's Residence at 440 Lenox Road.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent with experience in residence life or housing.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and rent billing.
• Strong relationship management and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Budget/financial management including annual budget and reporting.
• Occupancy and data management including marketing materials and billing.
• Staff supervision of Assistant Director, staff, and Resident Assistants.
• Student and community support and after-hours response.
• Professional development through meetings and conferences.
• Manage lease interactions and facilities coordination for the Nurse's Residence.
