Job summary

Edconic, a Cambridge Information Group company, is seeking an Events Specialist for New York. The role supports residential life for pre-college students, overseeing programming and staff coordination within a dynamic campus setting.

Candidates should have 2+ years in residential life, be authorized to work in the United States, and be prepared for afternoon/evening schedules. The position includes housing and meals, with a salary of 22.22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have an outgoing disposition and enthusiasm for working with students.
• Must be comfortable taking initiatives and leading where needed.
• Interest in New York City culture and exploring it with students.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a safe residential community for roughly 150 students per term.
• Oversee student programming from staff proposals to execution, including scheduling.
• Attend and co-lead weekly staff meetings and support program staff as needed.
• Manage student interactions and accommodations with appropriate escalation.
• Assist with daily student affairs duties, orientation, and community activities.
• Handle petty cash, help with work orders, and ensure smooth operations.
