Core-mark Holding is seeking a Merchandiser responsible for pricing and setting customer stores across the assigned region. This role may be permanent or a Sales Trainee as part of ongoing training, reporting to the Merchandising Manager.

The position involves creating store layouts, placing orders, arranging deliveries, and maintaining accurate pricing at customer locations. Competitive pay with full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associates/2-year technical degree.
• 6 months - 1 year experience in merchandising and planogram execution.
• Bachelor's degree.
• 6 months - 1 year experience in reset (product return) operations.

Responsibilities

• Train new merchandisers on pricing and shelving.
• Create customer store layouts; place orders via telxon; arrange delivery; price merchandise at stores.
• Submit expense forms (travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel).
• Participate in company annual shows, set up and tear down displays.
• Record unsalable merchandise when re-setting stores for customer credit.
• Assist with delivery and unloading of orders and returns as needed.
• Maintain inventory of merchandising supplies (tags, hooks, price guns, labels).
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

Position Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for pricing and setting customer's stores. The Merchandiser reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the geographical area they service. A Merchandiser may be either permanent in the position, or a temporary Sales Trainee assigned to the department as part of his/her ongoing sales training program/schedule.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist in the training of new fellow merchandisers on how to properly price and set customer shelving.
• Assist in creating customer store layouts upon request, placing the order via a telxon unit, arranging delivery to the store, and physically pricing and merchandising the product at the customer's store.
• Submit proper forms for employee reimbursement, such as: travel, auto, gas, per diem, hotel, etc.
• Participate in company annual shows by setting up and tearing down of the convenience store displayed at the show.
• Record unsalable merchandise when re-setting customer stores, so customer receives credit.
• Assist when necessary, in delivering and unloading of orders and returns.
• Assist the Merchandising Manager in maintaining inventory of all merchandising supplies, such as: mylar tags, peg hooks, price guns, labels, etc.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
