Stephens Inc. is seeking a Petroleum Engineering–focused professional for an investment banking role in Dallas, TX. You will evaluate oil & gas assets, develop marketing materials, and assist with mandates within our Energy: Exploration & Production team.

The role emphasizes technical rigor, financial modeling, and collaboration with senior bankers on M&A, capital raises, and advisory work in a trusted, long-term relationship-driven platform.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with petroleum focus or related field.
• Experience in A&D valuations within energy sector is advantageous.
• Strong financial modeling and economic analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical evaluation of oil & gas assets using industry-standard software (e.g. ComboCurve, ARIES, or PHDWin) and Excel/Access.
• Develop marketing materials and support execution of mandates.
• Attend internal/external project meetings and, over time, lead them.
• Assist with additional technical project duties as needed.
• Support business development activities, including sell-side pitches.
