  • Ability to obtain firearms certification as required.
  • Valid concealed pistol license recognized by Washington state.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with diverse individuals.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

Reserve Protective Security Driver (Seattle Metro)

Pay Range: $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications

Position Overview:

TheReserve Protective Security Driveris responsible for providing safe, discreet, and professional transportation and protective support to principals and other designated clients.

This position is intended for an experienced security professional with advanced defensive driving capabilities and a comprehensive understanding of secure transportation operations. Successful candidates understand that protective transportation extends beyond vehicle operation and requiresadvance planning, route analysis, threat awareness, situational awareness, operational coordination, and sound judgment.

The ideal candidate is capable of operating independently while maintaining close coordination with Foresight management, protective teams, and client stakeholders.

This is apart-time, as-needed position and is not an on-call position. Assignments are offered based on operational requirements and employee availability. There isno guarantee of a minimum number of hours per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Provide secure transportation and protective security support for principals and designated clients.
  • Conduct transportation advances, route analysis, and movement planning.
  • Evaluate routes, destinations, traffic conditions, and potential security concerns.
  • Maintain a high level of situational awareness throughout all movements and assignments.
  • Identify, assess, and appropriately respond to changing security conditions and potential threats.
  • Operate vehicles safely and professionally using defensive driving techniques.
  • Adapt effectively to changing schedules, routes, destinations, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate transportation activities with Foresight management, protective teams, and client representatives.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism when interacting with principals, family members, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Support executive protection and other protective security responsibilities as operationally required.
  • Maintain assigned equipment, vehicles, and other operational resources in optimal condition.
  • Complete required operational documentation and reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
Schedule Expectations:
  • Assignments vary based on client and company operational requirements.
  • Schedules are generally provided in advance; however, flexibility is essential.
  • Candidates should be prepared for occasional short‑notice assignments or schedule changes.
  • Assignments may include early mornings, evenings, overnight periods, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • Employees are not required to remain on call when not assigned to an active detail.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous professional experience insecurity, law enforcement, military service, or a related field.
  • Ability to successfully complete an extensive background investigation.
  • Valid Washington State driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Valid Washington Armed Guard Card at the time of appointment, or the ability to obtain the required licensing prior to appointment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any firearms certification required by Foresight and the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC).
  • Valid concealed pistol license/permit recognized by the State of Washington.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and personalities.
  • Ability and willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as operationally required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous executive protection experience or formal executive protection training.
  • Advanced defensive driving or protective driving training.
  • Experience operating vehicles in emergency or high-risk driving environments.
  • Prior experience conducting transportation advances and route planning.
  • Surveillance and counter-surveillance experience or training.
  • Valid U.S. passport with the ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice.
  • Demonstrated leadership and sound decision‑making abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and team‑oriented skills.
  • Physical fitness appropriate for field‑based protective security operations.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to work in a field‑based operational environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to remain seated and maintain a high level of concentration for prolonged periods while operating a vehicle.
  • Sufficient mobility and stamina to perform protective security duties as required.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and otherwise move equipment and other objects as required.
  • Ability to perform duties in varying weather and environmental conditions.
