Job summary

National Laboratory of the Rockies is seeking a Researcher III to advance perovskite photovoltaic modules for space. The role focuses on design, development, and scalable fabrication of modules tailored for aerospace applications.

You will work with cross-disciplinary teams, present results in journals and conferences, and drive automation-related improvements while ensuring safety and clean lab practices. This is a limited-term, full-time opportunity at the Golden, CO site.

Qualifications

  • Must meet educational requirements prior to employment start date.
  • Specialized expertise in perovskite module design, development, and fabrication for space applications.
  • Experience with coating all functional layers of perovskite devices using scalable deposition methods.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and fabricate application-specific perovskite photovoltaic modules for space using scalable deposition methods.
  • Interface with researchers from multiple disciplines and communicate results to internal stakeholders and in journals/conferences.
  • Contribute to automation-related activities and develop value propositions for automation use cases within the project.
  • Collaborate with Environment, Health, & Safety to follow safe work procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Help strengthen NLR’s module programs by advancing module architecture, scalable processing, and application-driven design.
