Parnall Law Firm in Albuquerque, NM, seeks a Research & Writing Attorney. This role provides legal analysis and drafting support for trial teams across New Mexico, with no relocation required and remote-eligible candidates welcome.

The attorney will draft motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents, closely monitor NM law developments, and collaborate with trial attorneys and Team Leads to advance cases.

Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in New Mexico, or eligibility for admission.
• Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills, with the ability to translate research into persuasive, well-supported drafts.
• Experience drafting motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents.
• Personal injury or civil litigation experience preferred; insurance defense or appellate background is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with trial attorneys and Team Leads across multiple case teams and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Legal Research: Research New Mexico and applicable law on liability, damages, coverage, and procedural issues arising in personal injury and premises liability matters.
• Drafting: Prepare motions, responses, briefs, and legal memoranda in support of pre-litigation and litigation case teams.
• Case Strategy Support: Collaborate with trial attorneys and Team Leads to identify legal issues, anticipate defense arguments, and strengthen case positions.
• General Responsibilities: Deliver timely, well-supported written work product that meets firm quality standards and collaborate with staff to move cases efficiently.
