Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a Research Technician to support the Minn Lab's tumor immunology and functional genomics studies. The role involves hands-on work with cancer cell lines, CRISPR-based screening, and in vivo tumor experiments under the guidance of Marco Vincenzo Russo, Scientific Research Lead.

The ideal candidate has a biology-related bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of lab experience, with strong mammalian cell culture and molecular biology skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, molecular biology, immunology, cancer biology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant laboratory experience preferred.
• Strong experience with mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
• Experience with CRISPR/gene editing, lentiviral transduction, flow cytometry, or next-generation sequencing is a plus.
• Experience with mouse models is strongly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Cell and Molecular Biology: Maintain cancer cell lines and perform DNA/RNA preparation, PCR, cloning, lentiviral transduction, and generation of engineered cell lines.
• Functional Genomics: Support CRISPR screening and validation studies focused on immunotherapy resistance.
• Animal Studies: Perform tumor implantation, treatments, monitoring, tissue collection, and tumor processing.
• Flow Cytometry and Genomics: Prepare samples for flow cytometry, cell sorting, sequencing, and single-cell studies.
• Research Support: Maintain accurate records, organize data, prepare reagents, and support ongoing experiments.

The Minn Lab

studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms that shape anti-tumor immunity and cancer immunotherapy resistance, with the goal of translating these discoveries into new therapeutic strategies.

We are seeking a motivated Research Technician with relevant laboratory experience to support studies in tumor immunology, functional genomics, and therapeutic resistance. Working closely withMarco Vincenzo Russo, Scientific Research Lead, and the Minn Lab research team, the technician will support molecular and cellular experiments and in vivo tumor studies.

Role Overview

Pay Range: $26.77 - $40.05 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
