Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Research Support role in the Mahajan Lab in Saint Louis, MO. The position involves conducting molecular biology tasks, cell culture, protein expression, and immune assays, with duties including data collection, solution preparation, and maintaining safety records.
The candidate will assist postdoctoral fellows and support mice studies as needed. Education offered: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; MS degree preferred.
There is an opportunity to join the lab of Dr. Nupam Mahajan. The lab focuses on prostate and breast cancer with an emphasis on biochemical studies of the tyrosine kinases. Lab also study various kinase inhibitors and their role in inhibiting various epigenetic processes. Work in the lab includes molecular biology (DNA preparation), cell culture, protein expression, and immune assays. The expected duties includes performing various experiments, including immunoblotting, PCR, DNA/RNA preparation, cell culture and flow cytometry. In addition, candidate will perform routine lab duties such as ordering biochemicals, keeping record of safety measures and helping postdoctoral fellows in mice studies. Assists with the technical aspects of studies and experiments, including documentation and preparation of materials.
