Washington University in St. Louis is seeking an entry-level lab support role focused on histology, sectioning and staining of FFPE tissues with opportunities to work with immunohistochemical techniques.
The candidate will assist with experiments, data collection and documentation in a busy research lab. Ideal applicants have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, up to one year of lab experience, and a readiness to follow safety protocols and recordkeeping standards.
A major responsibility of this role will involve histology, including sectioning and staining of FFPE tissues, and microscopic analysis of the slides. Experience with immunohistochemical techniques is desirable. Some experience with protein analysis including SDS-PAGE would also be helpful. Assists with the technical aspects of studies and experiments, including documentation and preparation of materials.
