Washington University School of Medicine seeks a Research Technician II in Biochemistry to join the Ghanbarpour Laboratory. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or combination of education and experience.
• Preferred up to one year of lab experience in biochemistry, genetics, microbiology, cell biology, or protein engineering.
• Experience with cryo-EM, cryo-ET, mass spectrometry, or related instruments is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with research studies, experiments and assays, including data collection and solution preparation.
• Maintain data files and perform data entry.
• Prepare tissue cultures, reagents, probes, and related materials.
• Ensure proper safety procedures and documentation for lab and specimen conditions.
• Perform general lab maintenance and cleaning as required.
