Job summary

The Center for Predictive Medicine at the University of Louisville seeks a Research Technician II to support antiviral drug discovery. You will coordinate recombinant production of protein reference standards and monoclonal antibodies used to identify them.

This is a grant-funded role with employment contingent on funding; regular full-time hours and a laboratory setting are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with immunological analyses is preferred.
• Experience with recombinant protein production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design and execution of research experiments.
• Independently perform data acquisition and analyze data.
• Prepare data for publication and draft reports.
• Review literature and assist in preparing manuscripts for publication.
• Assist in revision of laboratory policies and procedures.
• Help plan goals and establish test controls and standards.
• Other related duties as assigned.
