The candidate will handle a mouse colony, assist with general lab duties, and may grow into immunohistochemistry and survival surgeries on rodents. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in biological sciences, neuroscience, psychology or equivalent lab experience.
• Experience with rodents, basic mouse handling and common neuroscience laboratory practices.
• Advanced computer skills or ability to learn data acquisition, Microsoft Office, order processing and data backup methods.
• Reliable, organized, detail-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Strong scientific rigor, critical thinking and attention to detail in research activities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate within a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and organize the Preclinical Behavior and Surgery Suite, coordinate equipment schedules and train new users.
• Perform mouse behavioral assays, maintain a mouse colony and conduct mouse surgeries; handle general lab duties.
