Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) is seeking a Research Technician in Massachusetts to perform analytical testing and support R&D activities. You will work with engineers to execute tests, adapt methods for non-routine needs, and ensure data quality for reliable results.

The role involves equipment maintenance, safe lab practices, data analysis, and contributing to SOP improvements as projects evolve. A hands-on lab background and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

  • 1–5 years of technician, testing, or quality experience.
  • Proficient with personal computer and MS Office (Excel/Word).
  • Hands-on laboratory task experience including proper chemical handling.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analytical testing activities using established methods to characterize materials and products, collaborating with analytical scientists and internal customers to address technical questions and support R&D and business needs.
  • Conduct experiments assigned, per SOPs or specific instructions, contribute to method development and SOP updates with project leaders.
  • Collect, document, and analyze test data, ensure data integrity, and communicate results to stakeholders through standard reports.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment, perform setup, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance; coordinate with external service providers as needed.
  • Safely perform specialized R&D assignments involving testing, analyzing, improving, installing, operating, and solving process/equipment/product problems.

Pay Rate: $20/hr. - $25/hr. on w2 (without benefits)

Shift: 8am – 5pm (M-F)

Qualifications:

1 - 5 years of experience in technician, testing, or quality environment. Capability to use personal computer and Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and Word, is a must. Hands on experience in general laboratory tasks including proper chemical handling

Responsibilities:

The Research Technician performs moderately complex laboratory activities with a high degree of autonomy, supporting the generation of reliable and timely analytical data for R&D and business stakeholders. The role works closely with engineers and customers to help solve technical problems by executing test requests, adapting methods to address non-routine needs, and ensuring the quality and consistency of results. In addition, the position contributes to the effective operation of the analytical laboratories through safe practices, proper use and maintenance of equipment, accurate data analysis and reporting, and the continuous improvement and development of procedures to meet evolving technical requirements.

  • Perform analytical testing activities using a range of established methods to characterize materials and products, working closely with analytical scientists and internal customers to address technical questions and support R&D and business needs.
  • Conduct experiments assigned, in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) or specific instructions, while contributing to the development of new methods, the improvement of existing techniques, and the creation or update of SOPs in collaboration with project leaders.
  • Collect, document, and analyze test data using appropriate tools and methods, ensuring data integrity and compliance with group policies, and communicate results clearly to stakeholders through standard reporting formats.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment to ensure reliable operation, including set-up, calibration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance; coordinate with external service providers as needed and contribute to resolving equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Safely performs specialized R&D assignments, involving testing, analyzing, improving, installing, operating, and/or solving problems concerning our processes, equipment, and products.
